Well I found some neat behavior and giving it another go lol, If I power cycle the switch 3x, on the third boot it says writing linux, then says rebooting, then done. I then had option to start the recovery process again, now transferring the tar file. When it completes I will see if it does the rest of recovery.

1st boot up on 1st attempt- normal loading recovery then moving to tmp folder etc but it never stops
2nd boot up millionith attempt- it said it was loading FW 1.5.26 but never finished just kept going forever
3rd bootup said writing linux/flash
so now on 6th boot up I am trying to follow it, it said it wrote linux, now doing the recovery tar file since I had the start button accessible again, will see where it goes from here lol

well not sure where I should be writing this file to but I have tried a few addresses and none appear to actually run properly... thoughts? I am trying to put the recovery tar file on the device in hopes to get the OS running again, I can certainly send for RMA as well but hoping to fix on bench
