WS-8-150-AC Discontinued?

Sat Apr 12, 2025 4:23 pm

Hi,

Has the WS-8-150-AC been discontinued? I no longer see a product page for it, and If I go into my order history I am no longer able to re-order it.

Thanks

So at this time we hope it is EOL as the WS4 line which is a FAR superior line will debut in September early October will replace the entire WS series.

We have ample stock of all but WS-8-150-AC which is out of stock.

We will however continue to support the WS line with firmware upgrades for years to come and with our contracting with Julian who will continue to repair them for years to come.

The WS4 line is a tank, much faster, and eventually be a layer 4 switch with full routing via firmware upgrades.

Pre release (small quantity) is scheduled now for late september since we lost 4+months doing an almost full rewrite of 60K lines of code due to hacker on WS line.

The WS4 series will raise the bar for WISP switches especially when we later release firmware unlocking routing and bandwidth control rule sets.

We have had to dig out of a horrible 4 year supply chain disaster..... thanks Joe and Pet. Not to mention massive inflation on parts and logistics due in large part to high energy costs and we had increased costs in every department from energy, transportation, insurance, parts, labor......

I am just glad by the grace of God we survived and we are slowly growing but our anual sales are still less than half what it was in 2019 and 2020.

The firmware improvements for the WS4 will also work on the WS3 which v3.0.0 is slated to come out in about 4 to 6 weeks.
