root path cost is 20000 ???????

Wed Aug 01, 2018 6:15 am

Hello
We installed a SWITCH 12-250-dc WITH 2 powerbeam in 2016
We never had a network outage
But this morning the switch did a weird thing "attached the log" :yikes:
The powerbeam was no longer responding but was properly connect to the switch
So we simply unplugged the 2 POE power and reconnect and everything is gone ....
The problem is that I would not want the problem to come back ....
What to do to avoid this? :willy:
Thank you

version NETONIX --> 1.4.8

Please upgrade firmware to v1.5.0 or v1.5.1rc2.

v1.4.8 is well over 8 months old, changes have been made.

Also this could be a Flow control issue, we do not have a bug with flow control but UBNT did or still does possibly in that case you would disable Flow control.

But first I would upgrade the firmware.

Root path cost has to do with STP/RSTP/MSTP

Salut Mike

You still need to upgrade.

THen if it happens again I would disable Flow Control
