DC switch port 1 malfunction

So I finally got some sunshine and therefore filling battery banks and could turn up my Ligowaves (10Watts) instead of the old bullets (4watts) that were running for backup use.
Running a WS-8-250-DC with 1.3.4 firmware on it. The ligo at that end is plugged into port 1, when I turned its power back on it shows a consumption of ~6 watts or so which seems low, running on 48V low, as was used in the past. The unit at the far end is on a toughswitch (gasp) and it is functioning fine . There is no wireless link and no wired link gets negotiated on the WS-8 .
Cable test shows OK and accurate length.
Switch randomly rebooted itself whilst I was making port enable/disable changes .

Obviously I should update the firmware, but I will not touch that until I am 100% ready for all potential fails that may occur, at 18km from the road at -18.7 °C I am not rushing into anything

Any suggestions as to what might wake this previously useful link up ? Any known bugs that I have missed ? A detailed changelog I can read ?

They are called release notes, every fix (almost every fix) is listed in the release notes. I strongly suggest you go read the release notes.

YES, you "NEED" to upgrade the firmware. v1.3.4 was at the BEGINNING of the release of the DC switches so obviously there were a LOT of big fixes.

The release notes are in the same thread as where you download the firmware, just read all the things "you are supposed to read before downloading".

Thank you, I guess I'm used to seeing release notes in a reverse chronological order. I don't see my exact issue there, when I am well prepared i will do the update and report back.
