I think you are stuck with a 'build and hope' scenario. I'll buy some, but not enough to justify your tooling costs. Just like the switches, I'm up to a whopping 5, with 3 more on the shelf waiting to be installed. SOOOOOOO many people are still buying toughswitches, then bitching about them and features that are missing or non-functional etc etc. I can only preach so hard in the ubnt forums lol. I can say that troubles have melted away going from toughswitches to netonix.

In reality our switches on a per port cost are not more expensive than the ToughSwitch Pro.

Plus they do sooo much more.

well.. there is no apples to apples here with a TSP8 and a WS12.. list price, the WS12AC is about the same per-port cost as the TSP8. In the 'marketting' world of ubiquiti customers, the TSP8 looks a lot cheaper. $190 bucks list, $170ish on amazon... they see that and jump.

I think you guys have 2 hurdles. 1, your target customer is using another vendor's forum for general business discussions (instead of something like dsl reports, or other 'agnostic' forum), a place where it's hard for you to get a word in.... and 2, they are selling a Kia Rio but advertising as a Honda Accord, you are selling the Honda with EX Trim. The gap is big, but the pamphlet claims they are close...

You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.

So many of them don't do their due diligence and buy toughswitches only to find out after and are then too stubborn to admit their mistake.

Speaking of DSLR, I'm not seeing a lot of Netonix presence there.

Chris.... maybe you guys should run your next competition on DSL Reports. Maybe something like "show me your worst switch" or "wISP POP horror story" type thing... Get to 'word' out.

I am not familiar with DSL Reports. I mean I know it exists but I have no experience or presence over there.

Maybe you guys could help me out over there?

We are working on something:
Port 1 - 24V @.75A , 48V @.75A , and 48VH @1.5A - POWERS 1 AF24 / 5 or WS-6-MINI
Port 2-8 - 24V @.75A , 48V @.75A
A "beefy" 150 watt power supply
A cooling fan to extend the life
Console port
"Smaller" than a ToughSWITCH at only 6.5" wide and 8" deep
MADE IN NORTH AMERICA

The same as all our other switches as far as switch core and firmware features except we removed the current sensors on each port and only report total watts used.

MSRP............... Pirate4
