same .75Amp rating per pair as the WS series...so for VH port...75 watts....but typical VH radios use about 50 Watts.

as to when they will be available...depends on China..I am hoping first batch ready in March....stuff is sitting waiting for decals....

I added a couple of pictures..one of the AC model & one of the DC model, both rated at 600 watts...have have a user relay and external temp/humidty & door contact sensors...

Our BridgeWave Navigator pushes the port to 85 watts. Is it hard on the switch?

Will you have a 24 port version available with 2 to 4 10GB ports?

we will also have a 24 port version with 2 sfp+ ports....85 watts will be okay....the overcurrent protections doesn't kick in until 1 Amp per wire pair....

Currently having some fun with a WS3 :-)

What I like:
change are apply SO MUCH faster.
environment monitoring with relay trigger is nice
I checked the datasheet of the vitesse chip chown on dmesg and :yikes:
However, I doublt Netonix will implement all those features but maybe if we promise to buy enough of those ?

What I like less, it's HUGE and next version is suppose to be even deeper (40 mm deeper). It's ok for datacentrer but I doubt it won't fit several box we currently use at tower site. Attached the're apicture of the WS-12-250-AC vs the WS3-14-600-AC size. Maybe an upcoming version with smaller PS and form factor could be a good option ? Or a 2U version instead to fit the PS under the board ?

(I'm home so I didn't test the SFP+ yet)

Mike99

The unit you have I believe is the deeper one already.

Seeing as mike99 already has one, how can I order one (or better, two)? :)

I can use either version and can work around the extra depth if need be. I'll be using the SFP+ capability immediately and can deploy at least two in locations with full redundancy, i.e. we'll risk it with customer traffic very soon after receiving a unit.
