2.5GBASE-T and 5GBASE-T
Re: 2.5GBASE-T and 5GBASE-T
Aviat backhaul radios have 2.5G Ethernet ports. I'd like to buy multi-gigabit switches eventually, but I don't need it right now so I'm waiting for the price to come down.

Re: 2.5GBASE-T and 5GBASE-T
Well now we're getting ready to deploy Siklu EH-8010 radios for 2 Gbps links as they can be software upgraded to 5 Gbps or 10 Gbps. Unfortunately, they have only two ports: a 10 Gbps SFP+ and a 10 Gbps copper Ethernet port (which also can negotiate at 5 Gbps or 2.5 Gbps).
They require 50 watts and can be powered by separate 48v wiring or by PoE over the 10 Gbps copper Ethernet. Obviously I'd like to power these radios via PoE over a Cat6 10 Gbps copper Ethernet connection.
Meanwhile we're still deploying Ignitenet ML2.5-60 radios. We now have 68 ML2.5-60 radios deployed. Currently they operate as 1/1 Gbps links connected to Netonix switches. But I could be getting at least 1500/500 Mbps out of these links if I could connect with 2.5 Gbps Ethernet.
Any updates?

So, its 2025 and no updates?
Thew WISP world needs 2.5 GB Ethernet POE ports from Netonix please.
Something like this: https://tachyon-networks.freshdesk.com/ ... specs-info
All wrapped up in a Netonix Package please!
Oh - and a 10 GB SPF + port in that bad boy would be nice.
Thanks and look forward to the release!

We have had explained this many times.
We had planned pre-release sales end of October/November 2024 BUT we had a hacker.
So we spent 4 month devoting all resources to re-writing 60K lines of code, updating many modules, and removing PHP. We also fixed a LONG line of long existing issues such as SFP issue when rebooting, memory leaks, SMTP, NTP....
Where as this resulted in the best version of code we ever had it also took 4+ months, setting back the release of the WS4 product lines.
So at this point we are hoping to do a PRE-RELEASE (small run) for feed back possibly by end of March.
If we had not fixed the hack then what? We did what we had to do.
