ePMP 4500 Compatibility

Hi,

I believe I have found the anwser that I cannot power the ePMP 4500 from a Netonix switch but I would just like to confirm this with the community as I cannot find a definitive anwser anywhere I search for.

the ePMP POE is PIN (3,6)(4,5): +56V , PIN (1,2)(7,8): DC Return
from the research I have done this is reversed and would damage the radio?

We cant just make a custom cable as this would not work for the ethernet communication am I correct on this ?

I want this to work so bad, Could we use a SFP in the cambium unit for communication and make a custom cable to power the ePMP from the Netonix switch?

It's doable, I'd recommend getting a few of these. https://www.balticnetworks.com/en-ca/pr ... hDNqBwpKef This will reverse the polarity and prevent things from blowing up.

We have a bunch of 4500/4600s powered up at 48v with no problems.

Thank you very much for this suggestion, the shipping to get these here is quite expensive..

do your ethernet links still go at 1Gbps or does this affect the ethernet speed down to 100Mbps?
