Using SFP for data & Ethernet for POE

Sat Dec 28, 2024 9:14 am

I'm connecting a Ubiquiti AF60XR to a WS-12-250-DC I want to use SFP for data and ethernet for POE, I just wondered do I have to disable the ethernet port or will it detect that it's connected via SFP and automaticlly disable it for me?

You can disable the ethernet port or use RSTP which will automatically set one port to blocking, you can, specify with priority and cost which one is blocking and which one will forward. That way if the fiber fails the copper will kick in.

I am pretty sure not positive the AF60XR ports are bridged and thus my above suggestion should work?
