Interface Uptime

Is there an OID available for interface uptime?
Also, could we have an OID available that triggers when the 'warning' exclamation mark on the 'Device' tab is lit? This would easily allow any monitoring system to track switches requiring attention.
Email alerts & syslog parsing seem like a convoluted way to acquire interface up/down alerts for a large fleet of switches. Even if snmp traps were supported, they might not arrive reliably in the event of a backhaul failure....
