Hi,

Is the WS-26-400-AC capable of using a 10gig sfp module? From what I can see, doesn't look like it can. But would like a confirmation and a possible work around, if any. I need to pass about 2 gigs at peak time each night.

Thanks

Are your SFP+ module capable of running at 1 Gb/s ? Have you tryed the port at both auto and 1G ?

I use DAC+ cable without any problem between netonix switch.

These are gigabit switches. They'll work with 100Mb or Gigabit SFPs. The max per port is 1Gb.

If you need more than 1Gb of connection LAG is an option.

There is a new product line coming out with 10Gb SFP+ ports.

The way I read the OP, he wants SFP+ speed but the switches are not SFP+, only SFP. AFAIK, SFP+ (10 gig) ports are still a future consideration.

Good to know that DAC+ cables work. I asked Dave about DAC cables a long time ago but he dodged the question. Linking several smaller port density switches at a location is one way to get more VH ports than one might get with a single larger port density switch.
