Storm control

Hello.

I have couple of questions regarding storm control on WISP switches.

1. Is the storm control limiting based on bits per second or packets per second?

2. Does unicast storm control limit unknown unicasts only, or is it all unicast?

Thanks

Storm protection is concerned with being overwhelmed with packets so it would be concerned with PPS "Packets Per Second"

Thanks for clarifying that.

What about the second question?

Does unicast storm control limit unknown unicasts only, or is it all unicast?

Thanks

Thanks.

Is there any plans to add an option that allows limiting unknown unicasts only?

To me it actually seems "unknown unicast".
I set it to "1" and normal unicast traffic of a lot of Mbps flows with no problem...

The core switch don't seem to support this functionality.

I don't have the skill to understand that datasheet, but it seems to me that paragraph "7.4.1.15 ANA:ANA:FLOODING" implies that functionality.

Anyway, we use it and it works!
