Got a WS-12-250-DC here, actually from our spares cupboard. Booted it up for lab work, never deployed in the field before, running off a 24v mains power supply directly.

Attached a screenshot of the status page, it was showing this on 1.4.8, I did a factory reset and upgraded to 1.4.9 to be sure, then factory reset again.

Time for an RMA?

Log output below:

Sometimes when an I2C error occurs (communications between power supply and switch) at startup that can not clear itself, it happens sometimes.

Try power cycling it (remove from power for 5 seconds).

If still no love then you are in need of an RMA, could be a failure or damaged can not tell until we see it. "If" it is damage it is ground current damage which is caused by not bonding electrical service ground rods to tower ground rods and or poor electrical service ground rods.

This switch has never been deployed, it has been taken out of the delivery box and only ever connected to my laptop and a Mikrotik RB3011.

The i2c error has been present every time it has been booted.

Well it is possible it is a failure. Could be as simple as the I2C cable is loose inside. I can not tell without seeing sadly.
