AirFiber 24 pulling 100W??

Anyone else see there AirFiber 24 using 100W?

WS-12-250-DC on Frimware 1.4.6

sounds more like ground current blew your current sensor.. try switching ports, if the draw returns to normal, it's a safe bet that's what happened.

It's not actually possible for a port to deliver 100w, things start to break fairly quickly.

Most common reason for current sensors to get blown are from excessive ground current where your AC power ground rods are not bonded to your tower ground rods.

We can repair current sensors if you RMA it but if you do have a ground issue and you do not fix it more damage will occur.

Rain events are most common reason to cause ground potential shifts.

If your electrical service ground rods are in poor condition and your tower ground rods are in good condition and it rains then the electrical service ground rods degrade and the best path to earth ground then is the tower ground rods so all that ground current flows through the switch and across the Ethernet cables.

I would check your grounding and RMA that unit for repair.
