OK we have an issue where if you upgrade to v1.4.7r5 or newer for the WS-8-150-DC it messes up the Power TAB.
Below is the power Tab for the WS-8-150-DC in v1.4.7rc4 and older firmware which is correct.

We also came across a problem that can occur with the WS-8-150-DC if you allow the battery bank to drop to 9V where the switch would shut down but then the battery voltage will jump up above 9V and cause the switch to then immediately boot again. As soon as the WS-8-150-DC boots the voltage again drops below 9V and the switch shuts down and a loop is created.
The WS-8-150-DC was created to be a less expensive alternative to the more fully featured WS-12-250-DC which employs a separate microprocessor to control the DC power plant. The WS-12-250-DC will not allow the switch to power up until the voltage from the battery bank is at least 1V higher than the hibernate voltage.
However if you are only running a single battery with the WS-12-250-DC it is recommended you set the wakeup voltage to at least 2V above the hibernate voltage to prevent a possible boot loop.
With the new v1.4.7rc8 firmware we are putting in a minimum input voltage requirement of 9.5V to allow POE on any port. If the input voltage drops below 9.5V the switch will power off the POE port and not power it back on until voltage is at least 10.5V to prevent this rapid up down condition that could cause the switch to boot improperly.
But as I stated above anyone using a WS-12-250-DC unit with a single battery should always make sure the wakeup voltage is at least 2V above the hibernate voltage to avoid possible issues because with a single battery the voltage swing could be much higher than 1V when the switch disengages from the battery when it enters hibernate mode and battery consumption drops below .1 watts.
