Problem with WS-8-150-DC

We bought a WS-8-150-DC for our solar setup.

Setup very simple:- Powerbeam M5 400 in a Rocket M2 out (setup v old) and 3 12V Batteries being charged from 2 solar panels.

We did have a small 12V switch connecting them then put in the WS-8-150-DC a few weeks ago.

All went well till the volts went down to 11 when the switch cut out and the Rocket stations failed. Changed the batteries then all OK.

This morning ( -3 C) we had one warning email for 11v and WS-8-150-DC 'died' or should I say was not contactable remotely in spite of the Powerbeam still contactable/working. Went up and found the volts were 11.7 (photograph of volt meter in box) but NO lights on the WS-8-150-DC . Changed the batteries and saw the LED's glowing on the LAN outputs and I think the 'master' LED on the WS-8-150-DC (sun shining on it). Saw we had output on the Rocket (on phone). Went away
Got home found the Rocket NOT passing traffic/connecting.

Went back and LAN'd a computer into the WS-8-150-DC at the same time the Volt meter hit 14 (momentarily).

Able to get in via LAN/computer and stations connecting to Rocket.

Any thoughts what is wrong here ?

I understood the WS-8-150-DC would work down to 9V.

Further I assumed it would still contactable down to that voltage, is it possible I have misconfigured something?

The configuration I did was to change the order of priority to keep the Powerbeam up and put a warning voltage of 11V NB it was set to 10.5 v the first time it cut out.
I seems to me that this WS-8-150-DC stops passing traffic at about 10.5 -11.v. and maybe comes alive again at 12.5V - 14V.

Let's see if your problem still exists since you upgraded firmware.

Plus I was trying to edit your post for clarity and accidently deleted Device/Status picture, could you please edit your post and put it back.

Should i have used the word hibernation to describe the WS-8-150-DC unresponsiveness?

Sounds quite like viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2438&p=17013&hilit=hibernation#p17013 and the input voltages were much the same.

Still got a problem
Today
0652 hrs Low Voltage (11v) warning email
0656 hrs ditto
0706 hrs stopped passing traffic
No connection remotely to Netonix
Rebooted input radio -no change
When I got up there the box had 12.08v and LEDs on Netonix glowing
Antenna outputting signal (as seen on phone)
NO connection to internet or local LAN
Disconnected power 30 secs
Reconnected ALL up and running and passing traffic

we really do recommend running these at 24v or greater, more power efficient, longer availability during a charge slump, etc.. do you just not have space for the additional battery?

At any point in time, did input voltage dip below 9v, do you think?

Will ping Eric on this Monday, AFAIK he's already looking into this but will confirm.

Is this switch connected directly to the battery or to a power supply/charger?

Switch runs off the batteries -with a couple of solar panel regulators inputting as and when.
Noted re 24v but we have a small wind turbine that we would have to scrap, and put the panels in series.
No I am positive the voltage didn't drop below 9v. Note the timing within 10 minutes of the 11v warning email, the switch cut the Ethernet traffic / went into hibernation.
Also worrying is why when it was receiving 12.9volts it didn't recover / start passing traffic .

I will run some LAP test this week but we have tested this many times before?

Cut out /hibernated yesterday morning. Batteries still showing 11.2 v. No warning email at 11.v. We are going to remove it and replace with the old dumb switch ASAP. Repeat does not run down to 9v . Cuts traffic at approx 11v.

what is your hibernate voltage set to?
