Are you using a UPS that is undersized?

If using a dry cell computer style UPS you should have at least 1500 watts. With an Inverter Charger with AGM or Liquid cell 750 watts is fine.

Please post up Stats and Device/Status Tabs.

Why would you block the MAC??

This is one piece of info we need to look up info on the unit.

Can you swap the unit out with a spare to see if the problem persists?

Sorry for the usual I always delete that information

About changing the unit would have to verify since I only have a WS-12-250-DC I have a netonix for that I have to verify if I can get an AC to DC source to feed it temporarily for the test

Well I was hoping to swap with identical AC unit.
If problem persists look elsewhere if problem goes away we know.

The only thing that happens is that I have only two that are both in production. Or what you want to tell me is that you want to change the unit for another. That some time ago sent it to you by the port 1 was fried

Well how big is the inverter? Is it possible the inverter power is dipping?

So here are some of the possible causes:
1) Defective switch and or power supply in switch.
2) Power dips from the inverter are causing the switch to reboot.
3) You have cabling that is causing momentary shorts causing voltage to drop and rebooting the switch.
4) You do not have your tower bonded to the electrical service ground and ground current is causing issues and reboots.

I do not have a crystal ball to know what the issue is and I am not there to do sanity checking and simple diagnostics to figure it out for you.

Options:
1) Swap out switch with identical unit and see if problem persists, if it does chances are it is not the switch.
2) Take the switch out of service and test back at your shop which if there is no issue there then it is something at site.
3) RMA the unit and we will fully test it out.

Personally at my WISP we always have spare units of everything for fast replacements and for doing swap out to debug issues like this.

Once again blocking out the Names on the Ports is counter productive for me.

Do you not think that the port descriptions telling me what device is on that port could be useful to me?

How is letting people know what type of device is on what port is a security hole? But it does let me see what the device is and I can see if the watts being used are reasonable for that device.

I am still going to say your inverter is insufficient and the power is dipping causing the switch to reboot or you do not have the tower grounding bonded to the electrical service grounding and the Ethernet cables are carrying excessive ground current..

Here are some good posts on grounding:
