SPF Port Capability

Wed Oct 19, 2016 12:53 pm

I have replaced my TSW8 with a WS-12-250-AC about a year ago and have not looked back. One thing I am wanting to do is see if I can bring my fiber connection in through the SPF port to eliminate the media converter I have now with Ethernet bringing circuit into the switch.

Well yes the SFP ports support 1G fiber, not sure what you're asking exactly?

I only have found where is say uplink to support airfiber. I would assume it would but just wanted some verification before I tried it and caused an issue. I currently am using Azotel and have it between the Wisp switch and the media converter. Was just trying to eliminate some equipment if I could and bring the fiber circuit directly into the switch.
