I really hope these new SWITCHES (not to be confused with routers) work good out of the gate. I've been holding my breath so long for these that I'm starting to turn blue!

This thread is now almost 4 years old... so, we're 4 years closer than when it started!

Just a fly on the wall's perspective, Chris will probably weigh in as well, he's got the real inside scoop ;)

He said q4 but didnt say which year!

Haha, Julian hasn't worked for Netonix in a couple of years now.

I think its time to move on guys. I've gotten myself into these projects before, and usually when a product is this delayed, its because the economics just don't make sense. My guess is Netonix has thrown in the towel, and just doesn't want to admit it. Same thing with Ubiquiti on their ISP products...complete silence on their part.

haven't thrown in the towel.....Stephen is working on it....we found some bugs when we got a third party to do some testing on it....we have way to much money invested in it to give up on it.....seems this whole calendar year has been a disaster...I wonder why....

Dave, just a question ?

Is it possible to just bring out the unit as a Level 2 "switch" ? (Which I assume you have working?)

And then bring out the Level 3 stuff later after it is tested? Or as a separate version ?

Many of us have been waiting like forever to just get 10 gig Level 2 replacements for the current product line. (That was ALL we wanted)

I know you want to have the best product available, and that is why you are taking all this time to get it right.

BUT, If you have a working 10 gig switch that you could sell at this point, it would help us out and also get you guys some income to work with !

I'm curious, is it really a big change to swap out 1G ports for 10G in the existing units? I suppose you need a faster CPU as well?
