Well... based on what Chris said in the past I expect the WS2 to be the new layer 2 with 10Gbps, temp, relay, etc.

My guess would be WS3 is the layer 3 version.

WS2 is for a single model switch the WS2-4-50-DC (non 10G primarily designed for the oil gas industry but WISPs may also use it)

WS3 is for 10G stuff

I was hoping for L3 but L2 can do the job if ERPS is eventually fonctionnal ;-)

Static route only ? If so, maybe FRRouting could be modify to write/delete from fib to the switch core via vitesse API. It's not like encapsulation and wouldn't affect forwarding performance even if CPU is use more.
