Mimosa B11 on PoE

Mon Mar 28, 2016 3:21 pm

Is it possible to power a Mimosa B11 off a Netonix switch? I know the B5's work off of 48V but the B11 is a new and different product.

According to a recent post on their forum, it "should" be possible according to an employee. I'd like to confirm as much as I can, though.

THere is a thread where devices are listed to work or not

I would power all MIMOSA with 48VH if possible, if you do not have a 48VH port available 48V should work

Ah - the B5's like 48V H - all eight pins powered - and the Lites prefer 48v passive - only powering four pins. (In my experience, so far).

Bill... can you define what you mean by they like? Does it fry the B11 if you do VH? Does it just not work?

You can power the B11 with 48VH

All MIMOSA radios use a Bridge Rectifier so it corrects the polarity
