UBNT discovery is working! GREAT!

Just want to thank you folks!

UBNT discovery detects my firmware 1.3.9 Netonix switches! GREAT WORK!

On to firmware upgrade of all switches.......

what do you need ubnt discovery for with the switch? Is it somehow talking to a crmpoint or something?

You can tell the switch to respond to these discovery protocols:

UDP = Ubiquiti Discovery Protocol which would allow you to discover the switch in airCONTROL or with the UBNT discovery tool incase you mess up and forgot the IP or fat fingered it and it is now at a differnt IP.

CDP = It responds to CIsco DIscovery Protocol so other devices can find it

LLDP = Link Layer Discovery Protocol.

And if you have v1.4.2rc6 installed and enable the Discovery Tab you can log into your tower switch and discover all UDP, CDP, LLDP devices on that layer 2 segment and know stuff about them and launch their web UI with a click, see picture below:
