RF Armor question ?

We were shipping some UDK25x Armor, instead of the UDK5x that we ordered. Rather than send them back, it looked like it would fit our 3 ghz dishes that we are going to need to put armor on later on.

What is the difference between the UDK3x and the UDK25x Armor ? Will the UDK25x work on the 3 ghz dishes?
thanks,
Wayne

There is a difference between them or we would not have 2 different models and charge $10 more for the UDK3X

THe 2GHz and 5GHz have the same Feed Horn length sticking out the back where as the 3GHz sticks out further so the box has to be deeper and to accommodate the larger box the UDK3X also comes with mount extender arms to allow full range of tilt. All these changes = different model and $10 more for UDK3X over the UDK2X

You could put a UDK3X on a 2GH or or 5GHz dish but why, it is bigger box, longer arm mount, and $5 more hence we made 2 kits as the majority of the kits are 2&5 GHz so why charge $10 more for the minority of the installs.

I didn't have a problem on what you were charging, we just had these shipped to us by mistake, as we originally ordered the UDK5x ones, and were shipped the UDK25x ones!
My crew had already painted them, before I saw that they were the wrong ones for the RD-34 dishes.

Since We had some 3 ghz dishes, that looked like they were similar? I was asking the question. Guess, they won't work, and we will put these in mothballs, till at some point we get some RD-30 dishes to use them on?
