Optimal voltage for WS-26-500-DC

Fri Dec 22, 2017 2:57 pm

Hi, my name is Saul.

I'm building an Ubiquiti AP location. In this location, i have 2 Airfiber(50v), 8 titanium rockets(48v) and 4 old rockets(24v). My idea its to put the "WS-26-500-DC" switch, but i want to know which is the optimal voltage input for it. I can put two types of batteries: 24v (40amp) or 48v (20amp). In which case will last longer this battery? or does not matter the input voltage if the voltage its higher than 19v as its announced in the web page of the product.

thanks in advance, if this post its a dupplicate tell me please, i did use the search button but i can't find anything related to this.

24V or 48V would be fine.

The important thing is to hook the switch directly to the battery bank and then hook a smart charging system to the battery bank. Do not power a SMART DC switch with a power supply. If you want to use a power supply use a 48V-54V power supply and use a WS-12-DC or WS-26-DC
