July 4th Flag Raising

So my tower crew planned this as a surprise for me and the town our WISP is headquartered in (Leola, PA).

A little back story wrote:So back in 2006 my tower crew chief Joel worked for a cellular tower company and they were contracted to change the Flag that flies over the Freedom Foundation near Valley Forge. On a clear day this flag can be seen from Philadelphia, it is that big. Joel befriended the groundskeeper there who was a Pilot and veteran of WWII. Now at the time Joel was a fresh veteran of the war in Afghanistan. The groundskeeper explained that many people had requests in for this flag from Congressman and Senators to Military Bases from around the world. You see this Flag is LARGE, in fact it is the 2nd Largest Flying Flag on the East Coast. So at the completion of the job of changing out the Flag which uses a large modified cellular MONO Pole tower as it's Flagpole the grounds keeper asked Joel if he wanted that Flag and Joel exclaimed he would be honored to have that Flag so the groundskeeper said "get it out of here quick".

So anyway my tower crew ascended the water tank late last evening and hung the Flag in celebration of my birthday or Independence Day which ever you prefer. - LOL

Maybe you too have a story about your experience this 4th of July, post it here.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY AMERICA :hurray:

Happy Birthday Chris. Did you manage to blow out all those candles? A Sunon fan at 10k RPM should do it.
