ve a WS-26-400AC that had it's power supply die. As a test I pulled a brand new WS-26-400-AC out of the box and put the power supply from it into the dead switch. The switch will power on but it will not deliver POE on any port. Everything behaves like it is working but the radios will not turn on. Switch is on 1.5.26 and I have tried a factory reset. Is this a candidate for out of warranty repair?

Note on the screenshots below. Port 14 shows a 1.3w power draw. That's with a Mikrotik Cube plugged in but it does not power up. If I unplug it, the port shows a 0w reading.

If I disable POE on port 2 and run cable Diagnostics to my Laptop it passes.

OK, so apparently I didn't have the full sequence of events as I was out of town when the initial event happened. Here's what went down.

WS-26-400-AC switch in production dies and takes a bunch of customers down. Because I was gone and the tech that was in the office didn't know how to restore configurations to switches, he pulled another WS-26-400-AC out of the box and stole the power supply from it to get the failed switch working. So the switch that had the event is still in service with a donor power supply from another working switch.

What I have on my desk is the switch that the power supply was taken out of. It was never in production but I had used if for building equipment in-house in the past.

The tech that did the initial repair bought a used Netonix PSU out of the same model from eBay and put it on my desk along with the Switch that the PSU was pilfered from. When I put this PSU into the switch, it would power up but would not deliver POE as indicated in the initial report. I assumed the PSU was bad so I told the tech to send it back and order a replacement PSU directly from Netonix.

Today we got in a brand new WS-26-400-AC switch from Netonix. I pulled the PSU out of that and used it to try to get the donor switch working again as a test but it exhibits the same behavior where it powers up but won't deliver POE.

So the switch I am having issues with was working until its PSU was pulled out of it.

Have no idea.

Since you opted to switch parts even if the unit is within the 1 year warranty period it will be considered a repair.

One of the things our techs do is match serial numbers of power supplies and boards to chassis mac # to insure the unit is as it was when manufactured.

Seems to be an issue with the RMA website. First time I filled out the form, I got an internal server error message. Second time I got a screen that said there was an error and to email rma@netonix.com which I did.
