Netonix Manager fails to restore config files

We use Netonix Manager v1.0.24 to backup config files for around 100 switches. Occasionally when a switch in the field goes faulty, we download a config backup from Netonix Manager to use on a new replacement but in recent times the target switch simply reboots and the config isn't applied. This used to work really well so I'm not sure if something changed? We ensure that the new switch is firmware upgraded to match the one that the config file was taken from. If anyone has any ideas how to make it work again, it would be great to hear.

Comparing config files taken directly from switches with those stored as backups by Netonix Manager, the switch files are slightly smaller and mostly human readable whereas the Netonix Manager backups seem to be binary and of an unknown (to me) file format. They don't work when I restore them to switches. If anyone knows more please can you share?

Just ran in to this same issue trying to recover after a lightning strike. Configs from Netonix manager saved us in the past, and now are not working. Also could not open with nanazip to read the config manually.

Glad it's not just me. It appears that the Netonix Manager config backup feature is broken which is a real shame. If anyone believes otherwise or if it's "operator error" please can you advise?
