Hi there

It looks as if the recovery tool link is dead.

Is it possible for somebody to resurrect the link?

Thanks

EDIT: I tried Edge Browser instead of Chrome & everything downloaded successfully

I've got a ws-6-mini that I FW Upgraded yesterday on the tower. The upgrade seemed to go ok and the switch came back to life but around I'd say a half hour later we lost access to the switch and it stopped passing traffic. We swapped it out for a new one and I have it on my bench. I get a power light on the first Ethernet but I get no Layer 1 connectivity.

I'm in a bit of a bind here because Nexonix isn't accepting out of warranty repairs and this requires a special serial cable to reflash it. So my question is does anyone have a link to an off the shelf UART cable that can be used to reflash this switch?

Little late to reply but I may be able to offer insight. You don't need a special cable just access to the internal connector and some jumper wires like those commonly used by electronics hobbyists for breadboards. I'd have to go through my notes to find the pinout for you so please message me if you're interested. You can also determine the pinout for yourself if you have access to an oscilloscope with either an RS232 or UART decoder (if RS232 minor tweaks to decoder settings are needed).

In terms connecting the switch to a PC I've used a cheap USB to UART dongle such as this one https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07BBPX8B8/

Hope this helps.
