Ja, SMTP is fixed.
SNMP is fixed.
Modified descriptions show.
No more error on Save.
Also, NTP works.

So, I flashed the switch with 1.0.10rc10 and the first SNMP walk times out. Check the log and see mini_snmpd restarting. Second attempt at walk is good.

I just upgraded to the fixed firmware version and SNMP started on the first attempt to walk. Les, is it possible you tried too quickly after booting the switch?

The switch takes about 17 seconds to boot up then up to another 6 or so seconds to start SNNP service.

In the newer version yet unreleased v1.1.0 SNMP will load much faster but Eric did not want to bother back porting to v1.0.10.

Also has to be a later not earlier version of v1.1.0, not sure if it is in the v1.1.0 I gave you to play with Les I will email you a newer one and you can let me know

I think I gave it lots of time. After I applied 10rc10, I waited for the switch to reboot.
When the switch boots, there are no log entries with the proper date/time as the entries are all written prior to NTP starting, so to test if NTP has started I clear the log which then wrote the following line with the proper date/time.
Jan 5 18:07:30 syslogd started: BusyBox v1.11.2

The second thing I tested was SMTP, so I clicked on Email to send the log to myself. That created a few more log entries showing the time.
Jan 5 18:10:30 sSMTP[1046]: Creating SSL connection to host

The third thing I tested was SNMP by initiating a walk. The walk timed out but the log then showed the following lines.
Jan 5 18:10:54 monitor: restarting mini_snmpd
Jan 5 18:10:54 mini_snmpd[1140]: started, listening on port 161/udp and 161/tcp

So, if you follow the timestamps and do the math, over 3 minutes lapsed between the first and last test.

Perhaps I need to do a hard boot since it's been a while since I did that. IMHO a soft boot is not the same as a hard boot. For the purpose of trying to simulate what would be real world conditions, remote flashing a firmware update would not lend itself to hard booting the switch and in most cases, a hard boot would be avoided since the quick reboot without PoE bump would be desired.

Anyway, I will test 1.1.0rc when Chris sends it to me.
