Feedback please

Fri Dec 05, 2014 5:35 pm

Have you loaded v1.0.7rc6 and if so please provide some feedback. Sweeping

Are there any known bugs to fix or are we ready to get back on the roadmap? Pirate2

Anything you want/need added but check the firmware roadmap above so not request things we are already going to do. Pirate4

Yes, uneventful (the way I like it).
Tested ping watchdog - good. Got email alert.

SNMP has a mention but not much on what is planned. Assume at some point there would be stuff such as verbosity, traps, etc.

Not sure what you mean Les, we do provide full SNMP support on everything about the switch and all sensors already.

It is up to the SNMP monitoring software used to script what to do with all that info????

I am talking about SNMP Traps which are unsolicited data packets sent to a trap receiver.

I think you are talking about OIDs that an external SNMP queries.

Just to be clear here, I do not have a specific need for SNMP trap support and am only playing advocate. If the general WISP community that you are targeting has no need for it either, then ignore me.

When I worked in CorpIT, I used a variety of tools of which SNMP traps was one.

Firmware Road Map v1.0.7 release soon

Sat Dec 06, 2014 1:42 pm

We will never ignore you Les or anyone. I have it on my list to discuss with my IT guys at my WISP plus people can weigh in here.
If enough people ask the ability to have the switch play music I would do it. :agree:

We will be releasing v1.0.7 tonight or tomorrow so we are 1 to 2 days behind the firmware road map schedule but that was because of the bug LRL found.

I spent a good deal of the morning on SKYPE with Dave and Eric (hardware and software). Some really cool stuff in the works and maybe Netonix will soon have it's first hardware/technology Patent which is all I can say but it is a totally new approach to something. Maybe by Christmas I will be able to share once the provisional patient is in place. Pirate4

We are hopefully adding another Netonix employee soon......the offer has been laid down and we hope to know this weekend. It is really weird, I am in America and Netonix is in America but most of our employees are in other countries and this new person is on a different continent.

Also we have fought hard against venture capital money but we have soooo many projects started now and even more in concept that we may decide to take some of these offers which means we could explode in 2015.

You guys have no idea....well some of you do, at least 1 to 2 people know about each new product line in the works. Let's just say 2015 will be a BIG year for Netonix!

Here is what other manufacturers will be doing in 2015 - :yikes: and then they will be like :willy: and then :headb: and then we will be like :tounge: and then :rofl4:

Let's just say we are thinking BIGGER every day!

I hope so, but could get delayed until tomorrow, depends on testing.
