Sound like it could be defect units possibly the 3.3V CAP issue described in several posts a while ago.

Please RMA the units and let us check them out.

Same answer, a small percentage of the WS-6 and WS-8 models were all possibly affected by 3.3V CAP issue in a previous batch.

Please RMA the units and let us check them out.

It generally presents as the device rebooting after an amount of time. I can provide a full technical rundown of the failure, that may be beyond the scope of this thread, however.

We repair this for free, just use the conventional RMA process, found here: http://forum.netonix.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1259.

In international cases such as yours, we can also provide replacement components and instructions at no charge, if you're comfortable attempting the rework yourself, and have facilities at your disposal to do so.

If you'd prefer the second option, send me an email using the link to the right of this post, and I will get it on the way as soon as possible.

Is there any chance this problem could affect the new WS-26-500-DC Models? I have one installed indoors where there used to be two WS-12-250-DC Models that ran smooth with almost 6 months of uptime. This one is rebooting about every 2-3 days. Sometimes it lasts longer. The uptime on the switch resets and also all of the devices connected show the same uptime.

Running 1.4.8rc7 FW

Thanks

Jason

Hi Jason. Do you have any metrics available for this? I'm interested in: Board 48V, Board Temperature, Power supply temperature, power supply controller temperature.

You may need to RMA - I have seen an as-yet-undiagnosed hardware failure cause the 500-DC to become unstable, but let's not jump the gun.
