I can also confirm using pentesting tools, 1.5.25 doesn't trip any php checks.
Maybe a middle ground would be like Ubiquiti did with their latest AC/M series firmware? Have TLS1.0 and 1.1 enabled by default but have a option in the webUI to disable older insecure protocols?
