Interesting repair

Was going through some of our 24 port switches that are no longer under warranty. Swapping boards and stealing fans for use elsewhere in the network. Came across this warranty repair. No clean up of the board, no glue to isolate the repair or keep it from touching anything else.

my records show you had that serial repaired at ISP technologies in march of 2024. You'd be surprised how small of a world this truly is; you didn't have -me- warranty that, sir.

funny enough those jumper wires don't look like mine either, I use .2mm red enameled wire and tack it down with clear UV solder mask, like in the picture below.

not that that matters though, for a run that small, those wires aren't going anywhere and really don't have any need to be tacked down assuming they are enameled. I imagine the flux used is also no-clean flux, and there isn't any reason to clean it off other than aesthetics.
what's funny is that my units have a full 2 year warranty that includes fans, so that entire unit itself was likely under warranty when it was pulled from use
