Sector CC 5-17

Sun Oct 04, 2015 2:16 am

Anyone tested this RF-Elements sector? It is made like the Cambium ePMP Sector (same vendor) with smaller size and different pattern. It has 100/10 degree at -6 db. So with 4 of them it should give a quite good near field coverage. They are quite cheap.

They just appear. At the moment you only get 30, 60 and 90. The wider angle simpers do not make sense imho as they have low gain. Imho it makes sense to use normal sectors and use this simpers to cover hot spots where the sectors get crowded.

I have one CC-17 running now. Does a good job. I use it to cover 100 degrees. They are quite cheap. Not as solid as the ubnt ac sectors but good quality.

I have the same thought about the simpers. I have a few areas with hot spots that a simper might be a very good fit....if they ever show up.
