Hi

Upgraded a few units to 1.3.8 (from 1.3.3) - all went smoothly, nothing to report.

Nice work!

So far, 1.3.8 has been good for us. Corrected a couple power issues on our DC switches.

Any progress on figuring out the SNMP issue that many of us have been having?

8 days up time on my WS8 at home and one of our tower switches. Not a single problem. Will likely roll this out to several towers in the network soon.

Welp, sorry to report I'm getting a lot of fan failure notices. it's across multiple switches. ws-12-250-DC and ws-8-250-dc.

Keep in mind that it's cold here. It's been less than 15f for the last several days. I've had both of my 12 port switches in our main DC site shoot the same message. I've also had an 8port at one of our relays shoot the same thing too.

The 12 port switches are in a concrete building and the 8 port is in an outdoor equipment box. The building usually stays above freezing because of the wind generator divert load resistors heating it. The 8 port is another matter since it's in a metal box mounted to a tower.

From what I could tell when I was on site today, it seems to shoot the log message right after it powers on the fan and it's slugish to start because of the cold.

All are running 1.3.8

Here's the log from a 12 port.

All's Well - Almost

Mon Nov 30, 2015 12:04 pm

Upgraded five WS-8-250-AC switches to 1.3.8. They all went smoothly and appear to be performing well. With one exception:

It doesn't stay red, rather, it toggles back and forth between red and green. This device has two PowerBeam 650s plugged into it in Ports 1 and 2 (switch is providing POE to both) , a laptop in Port 7, and a daisy chain to another WS-8-250-AC in Port 8. The POE is off of course on the laptop and other Netonix switch.

I don't see where it's causing any issues, other than the red sure gets one's attention... :)

Thanks Chris
Sam

@SamgooberThis fine. It is because you have such a low load on the 24V, I suppose we need to increase the allowed range a smidge before it considers it out of range and makes it red.

We assume there would be a higher load on the 24V.
